Canoe-Camping Gear Provided on our Guided and Complete Outfitting Packages

At Missinaibi Headwaters we aim to provide the most enjoyable wilderness experience, one which balances comfort with ease of paddling and portaging. Therefore, proper packing is essential, and this begins with bringing only those items which are needed. The following list is intended as a guide to simplify the preparation for your trip.

This is what we provide:

Canoe, PFD, ABS paddles, painter ropes, throw bag, bailer, Helmet (whitewater trips only)
Sierra Design Meteor Light tent, groundsheet, bag
Therma Rest pad (Standard Full-length)
Ostrom canoe pack, waterproof liner, 1-2 dry bags
Toilet Paper
Plate, cup, cutlery
All kitchen equipment, axe, stoves, tarps etc...
Water Filters and chemical treatment
Emergency equipment, Satellite phone, First Aid Kit
Food, beverages, a little wine and a few surprises.

Toque ( A Canadian wool hat eh.)

Hiking boots, or shoes with good support
Light shoes or sandals for wading, campsite etc...
Bug jacket, net or hat (Available from us if you can't find one)

Optional Items: Pocket knife, sunglasses, camera (waterproofed or disposable),Binoculars, Fishing gear, fishing license, book, pencil & paper, playing cards

Alcoholic Beverages: are welcome, as long as they are in a non-breakable container such as a nalgene jar. (Beer should be avoided. If you are going to carry the weight, at least take the high-test stuff!)
